Three2Six Operations Manual

Launched in April 2022, “Three2Six in a box” is an operations manual on the model of Three2Six. It gives information on all aspects of the project’s operations, from its finance procedures to its various roles, its governance, the services it provides to the community, its fundraising and advocacy components, etc.

The resource also contains close to 50 appendices to provide all necessary detailed information on the project to guide anyone wanting to establish their own Three2Six project. The appendices can be easily adapted to any context, in South Africa and beyond, as they have been made as generic as possible, to simplify the setting up of new Three2Six projects. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at advocacy@three2six.co.za if you have any questions or comments. We would also love to hear from you if you use this manual to create a Three2Six project of your own.

Our Child Safeguarding policy

In 2017 and early 2018, Three2Six has undergone a process of review of its Child Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, including a number of workshops with its staff and volunteers. Part way through this process, the Catholic Board of Education released its updated Child Safeguarding Policy. The Three2Six management team adopted its final version as the project’s new Policy in May 2018. In the same year, a partner from Ireland visited the project and did a baseline review against the new policy to ensure that it is suitable for the children.

All Three2Six staff (particularly its teaching staff) and volunteers participate in regular workshops on the policy and its implementation. Since it was adopted, the project has for instance appointed safety officers, included safety awareness in the curriculum and displayed documents related to the policy in all Three2Six offices.
