Celebrating Easter
Our Grade 2 students brought the Easter spirit to life with their adorable crafts! Each child coloured a bunny and an egg, then glued them onto paper alongside a real Easter egg, creating a delightful, three-dimensional artwork. These unique and colourful creations showcase the creativity and joy of our young artists.

Fun Day
What a blast we had at our pre-school holidays fun day! Soccer, basketball, obstacle courses, jumping rope games, and more - we packed it all into one amazing morning of active fun!
The energy was electric as children dashed, dribbled, and jumped their way through the activities. From scoring goals to conquering obstacles, every moment was filled with laughter and excitement. We look forward to welcoming back our children at the beginning of May.

Donation of menstrual hygiene products
A heartfelt shoutout to our amazing partner, the Menstrual Project, for their generous donation of menstrual hygiene products! Access to these items is essential for maintaining health and dignity, yet it’s often overlooked. Thanks to the Menstrual Project, we are able to provide crucial support to our girls in need, ensuring that no one has to compromise on their well-being.

Together, we are making a positive impact and breaking down barriers. Here’s to making periods a little easier for everyone! The Menstrual Project will visit us next month for a workshop on menstruation with our grade 5 and 6 girls.

Training with partners
The project has embarked on an exciting new partnership with Regional Psychosocial Support Initiatives (REPSSI) to strengthen the capacity of duty bearers and to improve access to quality mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services for forcibly displaced children and youth. Activities will be carried out in South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe, over the next three years, to work towards this goal.
In March and April, three of our alumni attended a six-day training with other youths, which equipped them with skills to in turn facilitate workshops with key stakeholders working with migrant children and youth in South Africa. Some of the themes explored during these six days included key concepts in health and psychosocial support, trauma, stress and grief, how to plan and facilitate training sessions.
This collaboration will lead to other activities in the coming months, such as community dialogues with local and non-South African groups, aimed at fostering social cohesion and promoting tolerance.

Alumni day
This Alumni day gave our past students a chance to improve their presentation skills. After Angel, a past Three2Six volunteer, gave them an introduction about the "dos and don’ts" of presentations, the group of 13 was split into two smaller teams with the task to make a presentation about important problems that affect their communities.
Firstly the groups chose their topics in a discussion with their team members, which led them to the conclusion that crime and water shortages affected their communities the most. The next hour, the alumni spent researching their topics, creating a poster and preparing their presentation. After everybody was done, the first group presented their topic "crime“ to the other group while the facilitators made notes about things they did well and things they could improve in the future.
After the first presentation was over, the audience had the chance to ask questions and engage in an open discussion, before it was time to switch and listen to the problems water shortages cause. During the presentations everybody got the chance to talk and show their skills. After a long morning of work everybody was happy about the lunch provided by Nyasha Borowa. See you all next month!
